My Journey into Weaving

Working on the loom for the first time taught me to see textiles differently, not just as surfaces, but as structures built thread by thread. From warp color planning to experimenting with various weaves like twill and honeycomb, this project deepened my understanding of woven design.

DESIGN

Every idea begins with research and curiosity, often sparked by material stories, visual references, or lived experiences. Through sketching, sampling, and digital prototyping, I translate these ideas into surface explorations, print concepts, or woven forms.

DEVELOPMENT

I work through iterative making,  testing techniques, refining through mock-ups, and revisiting decisions based on how materials behave. Whether it’s developing a surface, print, or structure, the goal is always clarity, intent, and function.

Currently seeking a Summer 2025 internship. If my work resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
